A Dream to the Sky -China's Manned Spaceflight Project

The Chinese Manned Spaceflight Project welcomed its 20^th anniversary in 2012. During these twenty years, China Aerospace stuff has made one breakthrough after another in terms of key technology, such as manned earth orbital transportation, extra-vehicular activity, and rendezvous and docking missions, promoting Chinese space technology into the internationally advanced level. The significant achievements made by the Chinese space mission  consolidated the national confidence and cohesiveness of all the Chinese people and endowed them with absolute  determination and a strong belief of realizing the  great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

This exhibition shall use three parts listed below to lead visitors to look back to the glorious journey that the Chinese manned spacecraft engineering industry have passed through, and jointly  appreciate various wonderful moments created by our great space pioneers . These three parts are  “First Light of Morning - Early Discovery of Chinese Manned Space”, “Set Sail - From Dream of Flying in Space to  National Development Strategy” and “Travel in Space - Chinese Manned Spaceflight Project Setting Foot on the Path of Space Flight”.

This exhibition strives to display the full picture of the developmental journey of the Chinese manned spaceflight project, with a view to fully revealing the wholehearted enthusiasm, outstanding achievements and lofty spiritual demeanour of successive generations of space workers with Qian Xuesen as their representatives have possessed and made.

This exhibition opened at the Special Subject Exhibition Hall of the Qian Xuesen Library on October 27, 2012.
