2018年05月25日

The worldwide community of museums celebrates International Museum Day on and around 18 May. The objective of International Museum Day is to raise awareness of the fact that, “Museums are an important means of cultural exchange, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual understanding, cooperation and peace among peoples.” The theme chosen for 2018 is "Hyper-connected Museums: New Approaches, New Publics".

Shanghai Science Festival, launched in 1991, is the first in China and the second in the world of its kind to be sponsored by the government. It is held in the third week in May every year with the main venue located at Shanghai Science and Technology Museum.

When this year’s International Museum Day falls on the Shanghai Science Festival (May 19-26), QLM hosts a succession of activities to celebrate both festivals.
