On February 3, 2022, the third day of Chinese Lunar Year, Qian Xuesen Library & Museum welcomed its first group of visitors in the Year of Tiger. Among them, there were loyal ‘fans’ of QLM who came to visit for the third time, ordinary citizens who came to pay tribute to their idol when staying in Shanghai for the Lunar New Year, and also the alumni of Shanghai Jiao Tong University who brought their children to experience QLM’s holiday activities. They were surprised to receive QLM’s New Year package: a series of publications and creative products produced on the occasion of QLM’s tenth anniversary.
In order to reduce the potential safety hazards caused by the gathering of people, QLM has reduced the New Year activities according to the needs of epidemic prevention. But the offline visits can be balanced by our online offering: a Wechat account of “Stories by QLM Director”. 72 stories have been released and it’s expected that the cumulative number of readings during the winter vacation will exceed 10,000.
