Qian Xuesen and Shanghai Aerospace

2016 marks the 60th anniversary of China’s aerospace programs, as well as the 55th anniversary of Shanghai aerospace. To commemorate the special year, Qian Xuesen Library & Museum joins together with Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST) in a special exhibition: Qian Xuesen and Shanghai Aerospace. The exhibition is also a tribute to Dr. Qian for his 105th birthday. 

This exhibition features the history of Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology. Looking back at the development of SAST in terms of the five categories: missiles, rockets, satellites, spaceflights and spacecrafts, the exhibition also extends the visions to the future prospects. SAST brings the engine of “Fengbao-I”carrier rocket, “Fengyun-IV”meteorological satellite model, and the “Changzheng-VI”carrier rocket model and its truck model for the exhibition.
