Delegation from Russian Academy of Sciences Archives Visit QLM

Led by the director Afiani Vitalii, a small delegation from Russian Academy of Sciences Archives visited QLM from May 1 to 5. The visit is a follow-up exchange after QLM’s delegation visited Russia last year. Both sides had agreed to promote mutual collaboration in terms of archive collection and possible exhibition exchange. 

Russian Academy of Sciences Archives have located 16 documents, altogether 37 pages of archives related to Dr. Qian Xuesen’s visit to Russia respectively in 1956 and 1957. These are invaluable resources for QLM’s researchers. Director Afiani Vitalii also invited QLM to have a touring exhibition in Russia’s universities and research institutions, to tell the story and legacy of Dr. Qian, China’s Sergey Korolyov. 

It’s expected that QLM will have an exhibition about Dr. Qian Xuesen this coming August in Russia.
