QLM Launched Online Science Popularization Exhibition for the 30th Anniversary of China’s Manned Space Flight

In September 1992, China’s central government decided to implement the manned space program and designed the"three-step" strategy of China's manned space program;

 

In 1999, the first unmanned test spaceship, Shenzhou I, successfully completed the round trip between heaven and earth;

 

In 2008, China’s astronauts stepped out of the spaceship for the first time;

 

In 2016, China’s astronauts stayed in space for 33 days;

 

In 2021, China’s astronauts will enter the space station of their own country for the first time;

 

In 2022, China’s astronauts live in space for half a year for the first time.

 

From 1992 to 2022, generations of Chinese astronauts continued on the path of exploring the vast universe. China's manned space program has succeeded multiple of breakthroughs, mastered key technologies in the field of manned space flight, carried out a series of space science experiments and technology tests, and successfully sent 23 astronauts into space.

 

Looking back at the development of China's manned space flight, Qian Xuesen, founder of China's space industry, has made pioneering contributions to China's manned space flight with regard to pilot research, engineering demonstration, and personnel training, laying a solid foundationfor the successful launch of the manned space flight projects in the 1990s.

 

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of China's manned space program, the science popularization exhibition "China's 30th Anniversary of Manned Space Flight" planned by Qian Xuesen Library & Museum was officially launched on September 21, 2022. The exhibition will last till December 31.
