“China Aerospace” is an education program jointly carried out by Qian Xuesen Library & Museum and the VCE International Class of Pudong Foreign Language School affiliated with Shanghai International Studies University. The project relies on QLM’s collection resources and Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s teaching resources at School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, as well as the Student Innovation Center, to facilitate the leaning of physics in high schools.
QLM, together with VCE physics teacher FengYanying, formulated a specially-designed curriculum plan. Focusing on the goal of “cultivating young Qian Xuesen”, the program has designed various activities, such as theme visits, research projects, scientific experiments, and self-directed learning models to integrate the scientific spirits into the course learning.
This summer, QLM has launched a series of activities to attract young visitors. The visiting number has reached nearly 100,000 in the two months of summer holiday, among which 42,000 are teenagers.
