QLM Established Development Fund to Improve Cultural Services

On January 18, Qian Xuesen Library & Museum signed a cooperation agreement with research institute 310 of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited to co-create cultural and creative products. The two sides will also engage in collaborative projects of related exhibition and learning activities. The cooperation is a result of the newly established QLM Cultural and Creative Development Fund.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the cultural and creative space on QLM’s second floor took place on the same day. Zhang Deyi, the technical consultant of Oriental TV’s poplar show about  house decoration  "Dream House", was hired as the technical consultant of the new cultural space. He will help coordinate the design and planning of QLM’s 1000 square meters’ underground space, to transform the space into a comprehensive floor which will combine educational, recreational, dining and other social functions.

With the new development fund, QLM aims to attract more people and resources to best improve QLM’s activities and services. The first step is to design and create cultural products that can fully reflect the feature and quality of QLM’s unique collection and permanent exhibitions. The new development fund is also managed under the Education Development Foundation of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
