QLM Course Starts for National Graduate College for Elite Engineers at SJTU

On November 18, 2024, Qian Xuesen Library & Museum started the course  "Qian Xuesen's Systems Engineering Thought" for the National Graduate College for Elite Engineers (NGCEE). A total of 80 graduate students from NGCEE have registered for this course. Gu Jihuan, Qian Xuesen's former secretary and a senior colonel, delivered the first lecture. 

 

QLM executive director Li Fang introduced the objectives of the course, as well as the teaching plan and assessment methods, providing students with a clear framework for the coming months.

 

QLM also chooses the "exhibition-teaching integration" philosophy in course construction, planning thematic exhibitions that complement course contents and reflect QLM’s unique feature: the invaluable collections. During this semester, the exhibition "Accumulating Strength for Greatness: Qian Xuesen's Teaching Manuscripts" is being displayed in Chen Ruiqiu Building.The exhibition, with the theme of integrating science and education, interprets the value of Qian Xuesen's teaching manuscripts, showcasing his path to greatness as a "great teacher."
